First Olympics Ski Mountaineering
The Olympics will including ski mountaineering for the first time. Ski mountaineering involves climbing and skiing over very rough and challenging ground. Emily Harrop competes for France, and is considered a favorite for the final sprint event. She is considered a favorite, even though her parents were born(British) and her mom is from the French alps.
The final sprint is the13th day of the sprint finals, it is the most anticipated event. It is a rough event that combines skiing and mountain climbing. Athletes are expected to lift an extreme amount of effort so fans can anticipate a good show.
Freestyle Skiing and Highlights
Bad weather has led to poor conditions for some of the events including the freestyle men’s skiing halfpipe. It has been postponed to tomorrow and the women’s event is expected to be asked because British medal hopeful Zoe Atkin is expected to be in action.
